Dear friends,

It’s back to church Sunday at Riverbend!

I’m excited to announce that we will be reopening our building for worship this Sunday, May 31. We will have two service times: 9:30 am & 11:00 am. We will also have two worship venues: The Auditorium (upstairs) and The Theater (downstairs). If you haven’t received a message with an assigned service time, you can choose what works best for you and your family. We will meet you in the parking lot and make it easy for you to navigate your way into our building.

Please know – our staff has worked tirelessly to make sure our campus is clean and safe for your return. Also, we have arranged our campus and our guest services volunteers to make sure we can practice social distancing while you are here.

You’ve always known Riverbend as the friendliest place on earth, with handshakes, hugs, and high-fives being the norm as you walk on campus. But during these next few weeks, I’m asking that we refrain from personal contact with anyone outside your family group. As hard as it may be, let’s say hello, encourage each other and pray with one another from 6’ feet away until the next phase of the reopening process.

Parents, we will not have Riverkids environments during this phase, but we do welcome you to bring your kids with you to worship. Our service times will remain condensed to help accommodate your little ones in the service. Also, Natalie and our Riverkids team have a special hand-out for each Riverkid to have during the service. We will get those to you as you arrive on campus.

I am aware that some are unable to return to campus at this point, and some just may not be comfortable doing so. Please know that we are still planning to worship with you online every week at 11:00 am until the day comes when we can all return to on campus worship again.

Again, I can’t wait to worship with you this week! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to let me know.

Have a great afternoon!
